Date of stay April 2010
We visited just last week. Three couples each with two kids of various ages. To be honest
we were very lucky with the weather but that only added to the experience. (Mabie Farm
Park and Cream 'o' Galloway were both visited nearby and were great value).
Another review has already mentioned it, but the photo's really don't do this place
justice. The garden is HUGE and secure, the layout is fantastic, and whilst the mezzanine
area with the big TV was great, the grown-ups tended to relax in the evenings in the
conservatory area. The views from that room in the evening are just fantastic, and even
distracted some of the party from Desperate Housewives on occasion!
Great place to stay....seriously!

Date of stay March 2010
We stayed in Overbells In March 2010 and having rented property in the past in the UK we
were very impressed with the quality and condition of this house. We were greeted by
Donald who gave us a tour of the property passing on invaluable information about what we
needed to know. The roaring log fire was a very welcoming touch.
After the tour we settled in to enjoy all the things the house had to offer. We found
ourselves at times sitting in the room gazing out of the large picture windows at the
view in front of us. Beautiful and so relaxing. On the other hand when we wanted to be
active then there was plenty to do.,with the Forest on the doorstep and a large garden.
We felt that the best thing about the house was that you had so many choices, relax in
the Jacuzzi or sit and enjoy the views. Read a paper in one of the lounges. Listen to
music on the excellent stereo system, have a game of pool or watch a DVD upstairs.
The garden made a great setting for the Easter egg hunt we put together for the young
children in our party. They loved it.
So far as the basic amenities go everything was there, we found the utility room very
handy and the kitchen was smart, modern and well equipped.
All in all a wonderful stay in a superb house in a stunning location. What more can you
ask for?
Thank you Donald and we will be back soon

I could not recommend this house enough. As a group of 8 adults and three small children
we had an excellent weekend. When every person says they would love to return you know
you're on to a winner.
As other reviews have said the photo's do not do it justice, it's absolutely beautiful
whilst remaining comfortable. You can choose to spend your time together or doing your
own thing as there are so many rooms offering alternatives. The service you receive from
Don is spot on, available if you need but not intrusive. It's actually a pleasure to stay
here.

Date of stay February 2010
I found this house through this website and was really stunned by the photos, but as
other people have said; the actual place was just so beautiful that it totally surpasses
the picture you get from the photos!
We have a large family with all different ages and types of people, from 3 to 72!
Everyone found something to do with ease.
Great having the choice of living rooms so that people who wanted to watch tv could be
separated from people wanting to read a book or even play pool! The log burning fire in
the downstairs living room was a real treat, the views are spectacular too. Upstairs the
massive couch is so comfy and perfect for family film nights.
The kitchen is really well supplied with utensils and pans etc. (Plates maybe bit too
fancy for everyday use but beautiful nonetheless) All the appliances are top notch and
easy to use. Everyone loved the crushed ice from the fridge! Tv in kitchen is a fab extra
and makes cooking for large party pass with ease.
The bedrooms were all beautifully set up, the master room with the jacuzzi was especially
breathtaking. Just wait til you have a go, it's fab, so relaxing! I had quite a few
lovely bubble baths in there. Having tvs in some of the bedrooms is again a nice thing
for people wanting privacy.
It was too cold and frosty to really enjoy the garden but we had a good look around and
it's massive! The back patio looked lovely too and would definitely have used it in the
summer.
The paved driveway comfortably fits four cars but we had two tiny cars at one point so
fit 5 cars just as easily.
Donald was a great help and we'll consider Overbells for the next big family holiday
whenever that may be!
Thanks Donald :)

It was a cold winter night and we'd been driving for over four hours, what we needed was
a warm shower a comfy bed and some nice surroundings. What we got was so much more than
that. When you pull into the drive you are guaranteed to smile at the sheer magnificence
of the property, as you step inside your smile will widen as you take in the luxury and
size of the place. This is usually said in a negative way but don't believe the photos!
They simply can't do this place justice! What a fantastic weekend, it'll be hard to top.
Thanks Donald.
